About supersillyus
A little History:
This gem of a circus was created by a group of individuals in the Meander Valley around 20 years ago. Having had the wonderful Jess McCrindle and Kane Petersen (then of Slipstream Circus) visit the town of Deloraine to put on a show and run workshops, the community saw a need. Banding together with the help of the above mentioned, they created SuperSillyUs, which focused on teaching circus skills to all ages in the Meander Valley.
The Circus passed through several hands over the years and ended up at the YMCA Launceston in 2020. When the YMCA shut its doors in 2022 we acquired it with the goal to continue spreading the joy and benefits of circus to all!
Who are We?
The SuperSillyUs team is predominantly made up of 2 quirky individuals.
Dana-Marie Jensen (Dee) is the “Brains” behind the business and handles bookings and other administrative tasks. You will also see her teaching workshops/holiday programs/circus spaces as well as performing Fire and Circus at festivals and events.
Tomathy Oddwyn (Tom) is our resident “Circus Monkey”, he does it all and has been playing at circus since he was a small child. He also attended SuperSillyUs as a kid, which is where he began his circus journey.
Together we make the SuperSillyUs Circus, a hand-me-down community circus which specializes in teaching and performing Circus/Fire Arts at Festivals and Events across the state.
